Mice! coming to Lincoln Amphitheatre | Arts & Culture
Lincoln Amphitheatre will host the Evansville-based children’s performing group Tales & Scales in May.
Tales & Scales will present the production of Mice!, based on Aesop’s Fables Council of Mice live at the 1500-seat, covered Lincoln Amphitheatre for two performances and a behind the scenes workshop on Sunday, May 19.
Mice! tells the story of three mice and their quest to rid themselves of a frightening problem-- the farmer’s new pet cat. Only Little Wee, the smallest of the three, thinks there may be more to the newfound enemy than meets the eye.
Through a blend of contemporary music and humor Mice! encourages children, and reminds adults, to believe in the power of their own voice and to find the good in everyone.
Tales & Scales will present Mice! on Sunday, May 19 at 2 p.m. CDT followed by a 3 p.m. CDT behind the scenes workshop, 4:30 p.m. CDT optional dinner, and another performance at 6 p.m. CDT. The optional dinner service includes fried chicken or chicken tenders, macaroni and cheese, corn, carrots, and cole slaw. All meals come with tea or lemonade to drink.
Ticket prices (one performance and behind the scenes workshop) are $12 for all ages seven and older and $6 for children ages six and under. The optional dinner service is $12 for adults; $8 for children ages seven to 12; and $6 for children ages six and under.
