Jeremy Camp to headline “Rock the World” Christian Music Fest | Arts & Culture
Hoosier native Jeremy Camp will headline Holiday World’s “Rock the World” Christian Music Fest this Saturday. The Grammy-nominated artist will be joined on the main stage by Tenth Avenue North and BarlowGirl. Cincinnati’s Mosteller will open for the main-stage acts, along with Holiday World’s Rejoice Singers, followed by Paducah’s Hearts of Saints.
“Our guests have asked us to host a Christian music festival for years, so we’re making it happen,” says the park’s president, Dan Koch. “Our ‘field of dreams’ to the north of Pilgrims Plunge is being transformed into a Christian rock-concert venue this week.”
During the day, eight regional bands (selected from more than 100 auditioning bands) will perform in the park’s Hoosier Celebration Theater:
• Building Nations, Bedford, Ind.
• Lexi Elisha, Valparaiso, Ind.
• Line in the Sand, Greenwood, Ind.
• Michael Cochren Band, Winslow, Ind.
• Rachel and Rebekah, Nashville, Tenn.
• Second Perception, New Albany, Ind.
• Shine, Auburn, Ky.
• Thousand Times, Tell City, Ind.
Rock the World’s main stage performances will begin late afternoon, headlined by Grammy-nominated Jeremy Camp. The Hoosier native has more than a dozen number-one Christian music hits to his credit. Dove Award winner Tenth Avenue North plus Dove Award nominee BarlowGirl will complete the night’s line-up.
Rock the World Christian Music Fest will be held Saturday, August 25. Event information and online tickets sales are available at http://HolidayWorld.com/RockTheWorld. The parks will be open that day for non-concert goers as well.
