Four people were hurt in what Indiana State Police say was a high speed crash in Spencer County just before 2 a.m. Tuesday.
Troopers say 19-year-old James Warren of Santa Claus topped a hill just before a curve and then lost control of his 2008 Ford Focus on Melchoir Drive. The vehicle then slid off the road and struck a tree.
Warren and a passenger, 21-year-old Stephen Dellamorta of Santa Claus, were taken to St. Mary’s in Evansville. Two other passengers, 22-year-old Tiffany Wiscaver and 22-year-old Zachariah Lahee, both of Santa Claus, were taken to Jasper Memorial. All of their injuries were non-life threatening.
Warren was charged with OWI causing serious bodily injury and minor consuming.
