Cannelton man facing meth lab charges | News
A Cannelton man remains in jail after police say he was arrested for running a meth lab.
Tell City Police told our media partner, the Perry County News that 37-year-old Chad E. James of 8 Clifton Heights, has been the subject of an ongoing drug investigation. He was arrested June 20 after officers executed a search warrant at his home, located not far from the office of Cannelton Police.
He’s being held on a $20,000 bond.
Officers say during a search of the property, they located one-pot meth labs in the home, as well as methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription narcotics and drug-packaging material. Also seized was over $4,500 in cash and a gun.
James was charged with manufacturing meth, dealing in marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and maintaining a common nuisance.
Tell City police were assisted at the scene by Cannelton police officers, that city’s drug dog, Erik, Perry County Sheriff’s deputies and Indiana State Police.
