Tell City's old fire house still needs buyer | News

The Tell City board of public works is making a second attempt to sell the city’s former firehouse, located on Humboldt Street.

Mayor Barbara Ewing says bids placed in early November did not meet a required 90 percent of the building’s appraisal value. Now, she says the city is taking bids until December 3, and that the board is considering property trade proposals as well.

Ewing says those who are interested in making an offer for the old fire house need to contact the mayor’s office.
