The Indiana Department of Child Services announced today Nancy Rennie has been appointed local director of the Perry County office of DCS. In her new role, Rennie will set goals and objectives for child welfare management helping to ensure children are protected from abuse or neglect. In addition, she’ll oversee a team of six that includes family case managers and clerical staff. She’ll also handle general office operations.
“We’re very pleased Nancy will be managing day-to-day operations in our Perry County office,” said Dave Judkins, DCS’ Deputy Director of Field Operations. “Her practical job experience as both a family case manager and a supervisor will serve her well as she continues to help families in her county.”
Born in Corydon in neighboring Harrison County, Rennie grew up in Perry County and has always lived in Indiana. A graduate of Oakland City University with a degree in criminal justice, she began her career working with crime victims in Salem. She later worked in the Perry County prosecutor’s office as child support director and as deputy clerk in the Perry County clerk’s office.
She joined DCS in 2002 as a family case manager in the Perry County office and was promoted to supervisor in that office in early 2012. She served in that capacity until she began her duties as director February 25.
