Need a summer job? Holiday World hiring

As the summer vacation season approaches full throttle, Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari are preparing by hosting an Open Job Fair on Saturday.

““We have about 100 more positions to fill in order to be fully staffed," said General Manager Matt Eckert. "We’re looking for ride operators and sweepers, plus staff for foods, games, parking, and costumed characters. We’re like a small city – we have quite a variety of jobs available.”

The Open Job Fair is for applicants who are 16 and older, as the limited number of positions for 14 and 15 year olds are already filled. Retirees and other adults seeking seasonal employment are also encouraged to apply.

As readers of The New York Times opened their daily paper this morning, the front page of the Science Section announced “Wood Takes A Thrilling Turn,” with the dateline of Santa Claus, Indiana, and multiple photos of Holiday World’s Voyage.

A Science Writer for the Times, Henry Fountain, visited Holiday World in early June to ride The Voyage, interview one of the ride’s designers, plus talk to roller coaster enthusiasts from all over the country who were visiting the park for its annual HoliWood Nights special event.
