Blue Bridge work continues; project on schedule despite heat

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) says a summer rehab project on the Blue Bridge in downtown Owensboro is substantially on schedule despite being plagued by hot weather.  The 71-year-old structure is also known as The Glover Cary Bridge. 

KYTC District 2 Spokesman Keith Todd says the contractor has completed about 90 percent of the demolition work required for the project.  Last week a 400 ft.

Holiday World plans $9 million ride

 Holiday World plans a big announcement next Wednesday, coinciding with the park's 65th anniversary in 2012.

Officials would not tell us yet what it is, but they do say it will be a $9 million attraction.  We learned Friday morning that it will be a new ride.

Company officials say the new ride is the largest single ride project in the park’s 65-year history.

Holiday World's last major announcement was in 2010, when it provided details on the new Wildebeest water slide.
